Philly’s favorite play on the Feast of the Seven Fishes is back for a fifth year and we look forward to bringing back the Feast of the Seven Pickles once again for a very special installment with another Fishtown favorite.
This year’s theme is “The Diner Edition,” and will feature a seven-course pickle-centric dinner along with a “Pickle Sundae Bar” on Tuesday, December 16th beginning at 5 p.m. at Percy located at 1700 North Front Street.
The Fifth Annual Feast of the Seven Pickles will feature two seatings, one from 5 to 7 p.m., and one from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., with up to 65 seats available per seating.
The menu, which is a collaboration between Percy chef Jack Smith and Sicinski, will feature a first and second course of deviled egg and latke with smoked fish and pickle slaw (a nod to Chanukah, as the event falls on the third night of the holiday); third course of pumpkin soup with winter squash kimchi; the fourth course combines a corned pork belly “reuben” with sweet onion pickle glaze, fermented red cabbage kraut and rye bread gremolata; the fifth course features antipasto with Fishtown Pickle Dip, and the final savory course is a pickle-brined chicken schnitzel. Guests will enjoy dessert as the 7th course in Percy’s Sound Lounge, where there will be a full “Pickle Sundae Bar” available featuring fermented honey wet walnuts, tea-pickled golden raisins, hot fudge, whipped sour cream, fermented fruit, and more. Guests will also get the chance to shop a pop up “holiday market” curated with goods from local makers. A portion of proceeds from shop sales will benefit Sharing Excess.
Tickets cost $105 per person (inclusive of tax and gratuity), with $10 per ticket going to Sharing Excess, which is this year’s beneficiary. Tickets will go on sale on Fishtown Pickle’s website on Friday, November 14th, which also happens to be National Pickle Day.
